1) Support of research and development of robots for medical
   purpose

We are carrying on a project for research and development of robots to support hospital function such as operation, check-up, nursing, rehabilitation, examination, and medicine. Now, researchers and companies are working on research and development to support surgery such as laparoscopy and endoscopy and in September 2005 we have established medical robot venture, Cyber Surg. & Medical.
As for operation supporting robots, we try to put it to practical use three years later. Also, we plan to create portable and remote control robots and ones with artificial brain to adapt to development of robot surgery in the future.

4) Clinical Trials and Supporting IRB

It is important for promoting state of the art in medicine to provide latest medicine promptly by clinical tests. We have various clinical trial support business including total support system for clinical trials. In March 2007, we have our organization has established IRB and achieved dramatically progress.

5) Bio-Robotics Research Council

We aimed to establish research council and research facilities of universities and research institutes as a medical research base. In January 2006, we have established Nagoya University School of Medicine’s Bio-Robotics Research Council for research and development and clinical trials of bio and robots by collaborating with couple of companies. By cooperating with companies, research of universities becomes collaboration research with companies and as a result, it promotes technology development.

6) Holding Lectures

To inform about state-of-the-art in medicine and our activities, we hold lectures and lectures of health for public as social enlightenment activity.

7) JAPSAM Prize

We have established JAPSAM prize to praise people who has contributed to not only to activate state-of-the-art in medicine, but also in fields such as science including medicine, culture and art. This prize is given to one individual or organization once a year and also we hold presentation ceremony and commemoration lecture. In 2004, A.Hari Reddi, a professor of University of California, Davis School of Medicine

8) Association of Network for State of Art in Medicine

We have established Association of Network for State of Art in Medicine in July 2006 for getting various supports. By holding Network seminar, members get to know each other and exchange information.

9) Research Institute of State of the art in Medicine

In April 2006, we have established Research Institute of State of the art in Medicine in Chubu University as an original medical base. At research institute of state-of-the-art in medicine, we develop our own seeds and carry out medical research of bio, robots, and nano chnology. Also, we promote collaboration research with state-of-the-art in medicine ventures.

10) Supporting Establishment of "International Center for state-of-
    the-art in medicine"

Since October 2007, we have working on supporting business for establishing “international center for state-of-the-art in medicine” by cooperating with Aichi prefecture, Nagoya city, Chubu Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry, Nagoya University School of Medicine’s Bio-Robotics Research Council. We started study session since 2008.
