Report of the forth seminar of state of the art in medicine and the fifth research meeting for Bio-Robotics for state of the art in medicine

On August 7th 2008, we held the forth seminar at Midland Hall conference room.( 5th floor of Midland Square in front of Nagoya station) This seminar also included the fifth research meeting for Bio-Robotics for state of the art in medicine. We focused on the theme “What we see at the research scene” and the president of Aiden cooperation, Mr. Fujinami and former president of Tohoku Uni. TUBERO（Tohoku University Biomedical Engineering Research Organization）gave lectures. Mr.Fujinami’s lecture was about safety equipment of automobile. He explained how safety equipments of automobile have improved. He explained safety equipment in detail from his experience of getting involved in development using various videos. Mr.Tamai gave a lecture about TUBERO (Tohoku University Biomedical Engineering Research Organization) of Tohoku University focused on the theme “cooperation of medicine and engineering”. He explained the process TUBERO got adopted as “Strategical Research Program” in 2003 by Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology for developing modern science by collaborating medicine and engineering. He also mentioned about how its activities were taken after by Tohoku University Graduate School of Biological Engineering and Tohoku University Innovation of New Biomedical Engineering Center. We could welcome more people than we had expected. We would like to thank again for those who attended our seminar.
